What is Tandemize?

Tandemize is a mentorship platform that connects aspiring entrepreneurs in Tanzania with local and international mentors to help them grow and succeed.

Entrepreneurs in Tanzania looking for guidance and mentors from all around the world who want to share their expertise, can join Tandemize.

Is the platform only for entrepreneurs in Tanzania?

Yes, our current focus is on supporting entrepreneurs in Tanzania, but mentors can join from anywhere in the world.

2. For Entrepreneurs

How do I get matched with a mentor?

After filling out our questionnaire and having a short call with the Tandemize team, you’ll be matched with three mentors based on your needs and goals. You can then choose the one that best suits you.

How much does it cost?

We offer three subscription tiers for entrepreneurs:

Rate 1 (€7 or 20,000 TZS/month): Access to mentors who specialize in specific tasks like marketing, accounting, and other areas.

Rate 2 (€10 or 28,000 TZS/month): Standard mentorship providing long-term guidance and support.

Rate 3 (€17 or 50,000 TZS/month): Premium mentorship with highly-rated and exclusive mentors (based on availability).

Can I try the platform for free?

Yes! Every entrepreneur gets a one-time free trial, including an initial session with a mentor to see if the format and match work for them.

What if I am not happy with my mentor?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Please note that cancellations will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

Can I cancel my subscription?

During the free trial, you can decide if you’d like to continue with the mentor. If you’re not satisfied, you can request a new mentor at any time by contacting our team.

3. For Mentors

What is expected of me as a mentor?

Mentors provide guidance and support based on their expertise, hold regular sessions with their mentees, and help entrepreneurs achieve their goals.

Do mentors get paid?

No, mentors on Tandemize participate on a voluntary basis to give back and make an impact. However, mentors have the flexibility to accept mentees that best match their interests and schedules.

How does the free trial work?

Mentors and entrepreneurs have an initial session to discuss goals, mentorship style, and expectations. This session helps both parties determine if the match is right before committing to long-term mentorship.

How often do I need to meet with mentees?

Together with your mentee, you decide your level of commitment. Most mentors hold sessions weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

How does the introductory call with Tandemize work?

After filling out the questionnaire, we will schedule a quick call to understand your expectations and ensure the best match possible.

Is my information secure?

Absolutely. Your data is stored securely and used solely for matching purposes.
